In response to a recent gun-related incident, InterHealth Canada – The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital (Cheshire Hall Medical Centre) has implemented increased security measures.
As a precautionary step, the public is being notified that visitation to the in-patient unit at the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre has been temporarily suspended.
While visitation to the in-patient unit is halted, access to the emergency department will remain open for cases of serious emergencies. Additionally, services such as surgical and routine outpatient clinics, X-rays, and laboratory procedures will continue to operate as usual. This temporary suspension is specific to the inpatient unit of the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre.
The administration of the Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital regrets any inconvenience resulting from this necessary decision. This measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of our staff, patients, and their families.
Further updates will be communicated once this phase of the business has been concluded.
