Females top at Provo Water Company Colouring Competition

Females take top spots at the Provo Water Company Primary School Coloring Competition at the presentation ceremony held on Monday, May 17, at the company’s office in Grace Bay.


Millie Flowers of Provo Primary emerged the winner, Sara Higuera Torres of Precious Treasures snatched second place, while Shanay Legagreur of MILLS Institute was awarded third place.

For her effort, Sara did not only take home first prize gifts, but her school was awarded $1000. Torres and Legagreur also took home prizes for their second and third place efforts.

More than 80 submissions were made to Provo Water Company by the competition deadline and three finalists were chosen from this lot. This competition was open to all primary school students from Grades 3-6.


The judges for the competition were: Donjae Lewis of the Tourist Board, David Bowen of the Education Department and Tania Handfield of Provo Water Company Customer Service Department. The competition was judged based on use of color, creativity, neatness and attention to detail.
