Flow TCI Country Manager, Joanne Missick

Flow TCI has commenced the next phase of the company’s restoration exercise which includes a comprehensive plan to upgrade transmission equipment currently serving the mobile network in North Caicos.

The completion of this phase will address the ongoing concerns with congestion for mobile and fixed customers.

Flow TCI Country Manager, Joanne Missick stated: “Our technical operations team has finalized the company’s plan for network congestion relief in the twin islands of North and Middle Caicos to commence on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. This will cause an immediate improvement in the short term for mobile calling, data, and internet services at the end of this project.”

Services will be impacted in the following residential areas during the maintenance upgrade:

Phase I: Bottle Creek - April 4-5th, 2023, 9:00 am EST; Phase II: Bottle Creek - April 11-15th, 2023, 9:00 am EST; Phase III: Monitoring & Feedback, April 16-18th, 2023.

Residents are asked to be prepared for intermittent minor degradations in service levels.

Flow TCI Facilities Lead, Ronald Gardiner

Flow said its team would continue to alert residents via SMS and social media on the scheduled maintenance and will conduct the necessary checks on the ground to verify network stabilization.

Flow TCI Facilities Lead, Ronald Gardiner stated: “With the completion of this phase of the project, our customer experience team is preparing to commence the copper to fibre network migration that will introduce new speed packages for Flow customers. Delays in the arrival of key equipment pushed the overall completion of the project to June 2023, however, our team is committed to delivering a better service experience for the twin islands.”
