The Provo Eagles were the biggest winners in the FortisTCI-sponsored Elite Youth League, played on Saturday, June 19, at the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCIFA) Academy Field along the Venetian Road in Providenciales.
The Eagles decimated the South Caicos Mariners by an 11-1 margin. The Eagles were hoping to gather more points and to build their goal-scoring tally against the North Caicos Seals, but that game was not played.
In other games, the Provo Falcons scored the second widest winning margin on the day, when they skipped past the Grand Turk Dynamos by a five-nil margin. The Falcons were however, beaten later in the day courtesy of a 3-nil whipping at the hands of the Provo Lions.
Earlier, the Provo Lions ended 3-3 against the Jaguars, who later blanked the Grand Turk Dolphins 4-0. The game between the Grand Turk Dynamos and North Caicos Seals was not played.
The competition continues This Saturday, June 26, with the regular slate of matches.
