SWA Sharks FC edged out Teachers FC with a narrow 5-4 victory in the latest round of the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association Futsal competition.


The match was a rollercoaster of emotions for both teams, with the lead changing hands multiple times. Teachers FC started strong with Sendia Marcel scoring the first goal of the match in the 5th minute. However, SWA Sharks quickly responded with a goal from Jovaini Genus in the 8th minute, leveling the score.


Marcel struck again in the 9th minute, giving Teachers FC a brief lead. Not to be outdone, SWA Sharks' Maniska Destiny found the back of the net in the 17th minute, equalizing once more. The excitement continued to build as Winzaria Lefrance scored for Teachers FC in the 16th minute, but Vanessa Joseph of SWA Sharks showcased her prowess by scoring twice, in the 20th and 29th minutes, giving SWA Sharks a 4-3 lead.


The tension peaked when Wanderlis Medina scored for Teachers FC in the 29th minute, tying the match at 4-4. The decisive moment came in the 40th minute when Vanessa Joseph completed her hat-trick, sealing a dramatic 5-4 victory for SWA Sharks FC.

In another came played on Thursday, Academy Eagles FC and Cheshire Hall FC battled to a 2-2 draw.


Academy Eagles FC took an early lead with a remarkable performance from Amika Jackson, who scored twice in quick succession. Jackson's first goal came in the 5th minute, followed by another in the 7th minute, putting Academy Eagles in a commanding position.


However, Cheshire Hall FC responded with determination. Shekina Smith narrowed the gap with a goal in the 11th minute. The equalizer came shortly after, with Erisdana Medina finding the back of the net in the 15th minute, leveling the score at 2-2.


Despite both teams' efforts to secure a winning goal, the match ended in a stalemate, reflecting the competitive balance between the two sides.
