19-Y.O. Mass Shooting Suspect Killed in Gunfight with Police

A suspect in last month’s mass shooting was killed early Tuesday morning after exchanging gunfire with police during a raid in Five Cays early Tuesday Morning.

The man is identified as Jaheim Forbes, 19, a member of one of the 11 gangs operating in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police (RTCIPF) Police reported that at about 12:20 a.m. on August 26, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a property occupied by Forbes, who was identified as a member of the Five Cays Blue Hills Organized Crime Group (OCG). Forbes was the primary suspect in the July 27 quadruple homicide at the Hookah Lounge on Leeward Highway.

According to police, Forbes retreated to a back room upon their entry and opened fire at officers. Law enforcement returned fire, wounding Forbes. The police said despite attempts to provide medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical professional.

No officers were injured in the incident, which remains under investigation, according to the report.
