2 Held in Connection with Firearm Recovery

Police have recovered an illegal firearm and ammunition following an operation in Blue Hills, Providenciales.

According to a media release from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, officers from the Serious Crime and Tactical Unit executed an Authority to Search at a residence on John Grant Street/Bay Road on Thursday, April 2.

During the operation, a male occupant attempted to flee but was quickly restrained by officers.

A search of the premises led to the seizure of a pistol, several rounds of ammunition, and firearm accessories. All items were secured as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police confirmed that both a male and a female occupant were arrested in connection with the matter.

The investigation remains ongoing.
