A whopping 44 goals have been scored in two days of competition in the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Inter-Primary School (male and female) Football competition at the TCIA Academy Field in Providenciales.
Twenty-nine goals have been scored on the first day of competition on Saturday, November 2, while 15 games were scored on Tuesday, November 5.
In the first game, Community Christian got by Enid Capron 4-0. The scorers in that game were Marvens Doriscar in the fifth and 14th minutes, Kerwens Salomon in the 21st minute, and an own goal by Rayon Bazil in the 29th minute. Doriscar was named Player of the Match.
In the second game, Elite slammed MILLS Institute 9 – 0. Ysaac Clermont scored five goals in that game. He scored in the second, 4th, 14th, 25th and 30. Jacob Fils-Frantz scored two goals – 19th and 23, Edinghson Dieudonne scored one goal in the 10th minute, while Ivan Harvey of MILLS scored an own goal in the 10th minute. Clermont of Elite was named man of the match.
In the third game, International School blanked Provo Christian School 5-0. Williams Skinner netted a brace – scoring in the 5th and 10 minute. Kalea Missick scored in the 8th minute, Osin Ryan in the 14th minute and Sharad Goddard in the 22nd minute. Skinner was named player of the match.
In the fourth game, Community Christian defeated Thelma Lightbourne 3-0. Marvens Doriscar, again was on the score sheet, netting a brace – the first in the 21st minute and the second in the 22nd minute. Kerwens Salomon opened the scoring in the first minute. Doriscar went on the claim the player of the match title.
In the fifth game of the day, Elite thrashed Enid Capron 5-1, with Grayson Theodore getting a brace – scoring in the 2nd and 22 minutes. Arwensley Honore, Jacob Fils-Frantz, Edinghson Dieudonne, and Guventz Pierre got a goal each. Theodore was later named player of the match.
In game six, Provo Christian got by BEST Institute 2-0, with both goals being scored by eventual player of the match, Learnj Pierre, who scored in the 7th and 13th minutes.
In the opening match on Tuesday, Thelma Lightbourne blanked MILLS 3-0. Â Giovanni Joseph opened the scoring in the 7th minute, with Omar'e O'Neil scoring four minutes later in the 11th minute and Karim Ali via penalty in the 30th minute. Ali was later named player of the match.
In game 8, Jamari Heath registered a hattrick to carry Richmond Hill to a 4-0 drubbing of International School. Heath scored in the 6th, and twice in the 17th minute. Jace Mullings scored in the 9th minute. Heath went on to snatch the player of the match award.
In game 9, Community Christian and Elite ended 1-1. Edinghson Dieudonne opened the scoring in minute 20 for Elite. However, Community Christian levelled the score in the 26th minute through Kerwens Solomon, who later copped the player of the match award.
In game 10, Jamari Heath scored four times to hand Richmon Hill 6-0 win over Provo Christian. Heath scored twice in the 11th, 15th and 18th minute, with Jace Mullings scoring in the 23rd minute and Ashton Dorneus scoring in the 29th minute. Heath walked away with the player of the match award.
The competition is divided into two zones – with Zone is comprised of Elite, Community Christian Academy, Thelma Lightbourne Primary, Enid Capron Primary and MILLS Institute.
Zone B is comprised of Richmond Hill Preparatory School, International School of the Turks and Caicos, Provo Christian School and BEST Institute.
Elite and Community Christian Academy are tied on 7 points, but Elite has a superior goal difference. Enid Caprion are in third position on 3 points, with Enid Capron and MILLS at the bottom of the table without a win.
Richmond Hill lead Zone B with points, following by International School and Provo Christian School on 3 points. However, International School has a plus one goal, to Provo Christian a negative 9 goals.
