53 Year-old Accused Appears in Court Facing Robbery and Drug Charges

A RTCIPF Mugshot of Anthony Seymour charged with robbery and drug possesion

Anthony Frankin Seymour, aged 53 and hailing from Grand Turk, made an appearance in court today to address charges levied against him.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 25th, 2024, involving a robbery at a business establishment situated on North Back Salina, Grand Turk.

Seymour, commonly known as "Tony," faced two distinct charges during the court proceedings:

a) One Count of Robbery

b) One Count of Possession of Controlled Drugs

In response to the charges, Seymour pleaded not guilty specifically to the possession of controlled drugs charge. However, the court proceedings took a procedural turn as the matter was adjourned to April 18th, 2024, for a sufficiency hearing regarding this particular charge.

Similarly, the robbery charge was also adjourned, with the next hearing scheduled for May 3rd, 2024, again for a sufficiency hearing.

Pending the conclusion of legal proceedings, Seymour was remanded to H.M. Prison.

These charges follow a thorough investigation into the robbery incident earlier this month, reflecting the commitment of law enforcement to uphold justice and ensure the safety and security of the community.
