Academy Eagles, SWA Sharks and Cheshire Hall FC all registered wins on Friday in the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association Women’s Premier League.
Academy Eagles carved out a hard-fought 2-1 win over Revolution, in what was a evenly-contested encounter. The Academy Eagles charge was led by veteran Pakeira Brooks, who netted one goal, which later earned her Player of the Match.
In the second encounter, SWA Sharks, courtesy of a hat trick from Irener Moline, outscored Flamingo 6-5, in a hotly contested faceoff. As a result of their treble, Moline was named player of the match, over Anika Harry of Flamingo FC.
In the feature encounter, Kadine Delphine, who was later named player of the match, who netted two goals, guided Cheshire Hall FC to a 5-2 victory over Teachers FC. The player of note for Teachers FC was Joddy Harvey, who was in the running for player of match with Delphine.
The competition continues next Friday at the TCIFA Academy Field.
