Acting Commissioner Engages Young Minds


Interim Acting Commissioner of Police Christopher Eyre interacts with Pastor Andrew Stone and a student of the Louise Garland Thomas High School

Acting Commissioner of Police Christopher Eyre today (February 14th) visited the Louise Garland Thomas High School as part of the Turks and Caicos Christian Council outreach initiative.


Following the session with the male students, a group photo was taken involving Governor Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel Selvaratnam, Deputy Governor Anya Williams, Interim Acting Commissioner of police Eyre and Deputy Commissioner of Police Rodney Adams

The Christian Council, led by Pastor Wilbert Jennings, invited stakeholders to commit and mentor young men under the Student Support Services of the Ministry of Education.


In delivering remarks, Commissioner Eyre urged the young male students to embrace their future, which is filled with opportunities and welcomed the initiative of the Christian Council.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rodney Adams noted that prevention and intervention were key to de-escalating crime. Mr Adams reinforced that officers remain committed to assisting the young males and making a difference in their lives.

Also in attendance were Her Excellency The Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, Her Excellency The Deputy Governor Mrs Anya Williams, Assistant Commissioner Darron Williams, and Superintendent of Police Dwight Gardiner.
