New service to enhance American’s Caribbean and Atlantic network with over 40 destinations.

American Airlines is set to become the only U.S. airline offering flights to South Caicos Airport (XSC) in Turks and Caicos.
Commencing on February 15, 2025, American will operate two weekly flights from Miami (MIA) to South Caicos on Wednesdays and Saturdays, supplementing its existing service to Providenciales International Airport (PLS).
These flights will be serviced by Embraer 175 aircraft, accommodating 76 passengers, including 12 in first class.
“With the launch of American’s second destination in Turks and Caicos, we’re thrilled to continue strengthening our international footprint, including a winter operation of more than 190 peak-day flights to 44 destinations in the Caribbean and Atlantic,” stated José A Freig, American’s Vice President for International Operations.
“With this new service as well as our additional winter flying, we’re looking forward to growing our operation in the Caribbean and Atlantic by more than 5% compared to the previous year, highlighting our commitment to the region and to providing our customers with an unparalleled network.”
“American has flown to Turks and Caicos for more than 30 years and we are thrilled to announce the only nonstop service from the U.S. to South Caicos starting next February,” added Jason Reisinger, American’s Managing Director of Global Network Planning. “Customers from across North America will now have faster and more convenient access to this idyllic island and all that it offers.”
