BermudAir Launches New Direct Toronto Service to Turks and Caicos Islands

The Turks and Caicos Islands will welcome a significant boost in airlift this winter with the launch of a new direct flight service from Toronto Pearson International Airport by BermudAir, further strengthening the destination's accessibility to the Canadian market.

The flight will depart Toronto Pearson at 2:45 p.m. and arrive in the Turks and Caicos Islands at 6:40 p.m.

The premium airline has announced that it will begin seasonal service to the Turks and Caicos Islands on December 19, creating a new travel option for Canadian visitors seeking a luxury Caribbean getaway. The route will operate every Saturday through May 1, 2027, providing convenient connections between Toronto and Providenciales during the peak winter travel season.

The new service marks an important development for the Turks and Caicos Islands tourism sector, as Canada remains one of the country's key visitor source markets. The flight will depart Toronto Pearson at 2:45 p.m. and arrive in the Turks and Caicos Islands at 6:40 p.m. The service will then continue onward to Anguilla, offering additional regional connectivity within the Caribbean.

The return service will depart Providenciales at 11:00 a.m. before arriving in Toronto at 3:00 p.m., providing travellers with a convenient and efficient travel schedule.

BermudAir Chief Executive Officer Adam Scott described the Turks and Caicos Islands as one of the Caribbean's premier destinations and expressed enthusiasm about expanding the airline's network to include the territory.

"Both Turks and Caicos and Anguilla are jewels of the Caribbean," Scott said, highlighting the destinations' pristine beaches, boutique resorts, world-class hospitality, and exclusive island atmosphere.

The airline's decision to introduce the new route reflects growing demand among Canadian travellers for premium Caribbean vacation experiences. The service also aligns with BermudAir's strategy of connecting travellers to high-end island destinations while expanding its presence in the Canadian market.

For the Turks and Caicos Islands, the new airlift represents another opportunity to attract visitors seeking luxury accommodations, exceptional dining, water sports, and the destination's internationally acclaimed beaches.

Minister of Tourism for the Turks and Caicos Islands, Hon. Zhavargo Jolly, welcomed the announcement, describing the partnership as an important step toward strengthening regional connectivity and increasing tourism opportunities.

Minister Jolly further noted that enhanced connections between Bermuda, the Anguilla, and the Turks and Caicos Islands will create new opportunities for travellers exploring multiple destinations throughout the region while introducing more visitors to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Tourism officials believe the increased accessibility provided by the new route will further strengthen the Turks and Caicos Islands' position as one of the Caribbean's leading tourism destinations.

The new service has also been welcomed by Toronto Pearson International Airport, which sees the route as providing travellers with direct access to two attractive Caribbean destinations.

Carl Jones, Head of Aviation Business Development at Toronto Pearson, said the service expands travel opportunities for Canadian passengers while introducing a new route option to the region.

All BermudAir flights on the route will be operated using Embraer E190 aircraft. The airline continues to grow its Caribbean network while maintaining its focus on premium service and customer experience.

The addition of BermudAir's Toronto-Providenciales service is expected to enhance visitor arrivals from Canada, support tourism growth, and further strengthen the Turks and Caicos Islands' reputation as a world-class destination for leisure travellers seeking a luxury Caribbean escape.
