Body Found in Grace Bay Identified as Missing Tourist

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) has confirmed that the body discovered on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, in the Grace Bay area is that of Brian Patrick Tarrence, a 52-year-old visitor who had been reported missing.


The identification was formally confirmed Wednesday, July 16th, following forensic dental analysis conducted by a certified specialist.


An initial autopsy performed on July 11th revealed no signs of trauma, and authorities say there is currently no indication of foul play. However, the investigation remains ongoing as officials await the final autopsy and toxicology results.


Mr. Tarrence was last seen on June 25th. A missing person report was filed shortly thereafter, prompting a coordinated search effort involving the RT&CIPF, community members, and other local partners. His body was located during one of these search operations on July 5th.


The RT&CIPF has extended its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Tarrence’s family and loved ones and expressed appreciation to the public for their cooperation and support during the investigation.
