Members of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force have launched an investigation into the discovery of a body in Kew Town, Providenciales Monday.
According to Sergeant Kevin Clarke, the body of the man was discovered by residents at about 6:30.
“A report was made to the 911 call centre that the lifeless body of a male was found in the Kew Town area of Providenciales with what appeared to be a gunshot wound,” Sergeant Clarke said in the news release.
He said investigations have commenced in the matter and Detectives of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force visited the scene to collect clues that could lead to an arrest.
“Anyone with information or knowledge of this incident, can call Crimestoppers anonymously at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) or call 911. Further information will be given as the investigation progresses,” Sergeant Clarke said.
