Caribbean Food and Wine Festival 2023 Kicks-off Wednesday

The highly anticipated Caribbean Food and Wine Festival is set to kick off on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, and it promises to be the most entertaining and insightful edition yet.


Hosts of the event provided a glimpse of what attendees can expect during the five-day festival, at a news conference held at the picturesque Grace Bay Club on Wednesday.


Nikheel Advani and Tony Garland, co-chairs of the festival, shared their enthusiasm for this year's event, which is poised to involve the local community to a greater extent while showcasing some of the finest winemakers and chefs who are set to grace the shores of Turks and Caicos.


Here's a quick overview of the exciting lineup of participants and events:


Meet the Wine Makers Event: (Wednesday, October 11, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Wine Cellar), featuring winemaker Stefano Benini, Vice President, and Export Director of the Family of Frescobaldi Wines.

Cocktail Party Kick-off: (Thursday, 6:30 p.m. at Grace Bay Club, Estate Pool) - a splendid start to the festival.

Women Of Wine Lunch: (Friday, 12:30 p.m. at La Dolce Vita Villa) - a special event hosted at La Dolce Vita Villa, a Member of the Grace Bay Resorts Private Villa Collection.


TCI Food Festival: (Friday, 6 p.m. at Crackpot Kitchen) – a culinary extravaganza featuring Chef Nikita Skippings.

Food Pairing Experience: (Saturday at Crace’s Cottage Restaurant, Point Grace) - two seating options: 11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

Culinary Trends Symposium: (Saturday, 2:30 p.m. at Grace’s Cottage Restaurant) - moderated by award-winning Chef Meherwan Irani.

Four-Course Wine Dinner and Cocktails: (Saturday, 6 p.m. at Infiniti Restaurant, Grace Bay Club) -featuring Frescobaldi Wines and the Macallan.

Sunday Brunch: (Sunday, October 15, at Vita Restaurant, Rock House) - two seating options: 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.


The festival promises to be a delightful journey through the world of culinary and wine delights, with a diverse lineup of participants. From celebrated winemakers and chefs to captivating events, this year's Caribbean Food and Wine Festival, according to the organisers, is sure to leave attendees with a lasting impression and a deeper appreciation for the flavors of the Caribbean.

Proceeds from the Caribbean Food and Wine Festival goes towards the Li’l Chefs Programme, aimed and developing young chefs for the future of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Garland disclosed that the Caribbean Food and Wine Festival has assisted a number of youngsters to travel internationally to acquire experience in the world of culinary.
