Chalk Sound Boating Facility Temporarily Close for Refurbishing

The Ministry of Physical Planning & Infrastructure Development announces the commencement of a major refurbishment project of the Chalk Sound Boating Facility situated on Chalk Sound Drive nestled between lot numbers 379 and 380.

This improvement initiative is part of our commitment to enhancing recreational activities and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our waterways.

in a news release the ministry said:

"We would like to inform the public that, to facilitate these enhancements, the Chalk Sound Boating Facility will be temporarily closed to the public for a period of 6 weeks, starting from Friday, April 26th, 2024. We understand the impact this may have on regular users of the facility and appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this time.

 "As part of our preparation for the refurbishment work, we kindly request that all individuals remove their vehicles, boats, trailers, and any personal equipment from the site before the construction start date. It is essential that the site is clear of all obstructions to allow the construction teams to operate safely and efficiently. Safety is our top priority. For the duration of the refurbishment, we ask the public to respect the closure and refrain from entering the construction site. Signage and barriers will be in place to delineate the work area and ensure the safety of the public.
