The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital is advising members of the public that visitation to the in-patient unit at the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre has been reinstated to normal hours, which are between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Earlier this week, the hospital announced a temporary suspension of visitation to its in-patient unit because of security concerns. This decision, according to the institution, came in response to recent incidents of violence in the area, with it said safety being a top priority for hospital administration.
However, after a thorough review of the situation, the institution has now issued a news release stating that normal visitation will be resumed. The decision to reinstate visitation comes with a message of gratitude to patients and their families for their understanding and cooperation during the temporary suspension.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital’s administration regrets any inconvenience caused over the past two days and wishes to thank patients and their families for their understanding and cooperation during this time,” the hospital said in a statement.
