The Inter-Health Canada-run Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital said it has suspended visitation to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre Medical Centre in Providenciales.
The abrupt suspension of visits, according to TCI Hospital, has to do with the triple deaths, including a tourist, on Sunday, October 2, and the number of persons wounded.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital wishes to advise members of the public that following the events of this past weekend, the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre remains unable to
accommodate visitation to its in-patient unit at this time,” TCI Hospital said in a statement.
It added: “As of yesterday Monday, October 3rd 2022 routine outpatient clinics, X-rays and laboratory services have been open to members of the public.
“The administration of The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital regrets any inconvenience caused by these measures necessary to preserve the safety of our patients and members of staff.”
