CIBC Celebrates Employee Appreciation Week - Honouring Their Greatest Assets

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, 15 July 2026 – CIBC Caribbean recently celebrated Employee Appreciation Week with a series of activities dedicated to recognizing the people who drive the Bank’s success every day. The initiative reinforced the Bank’s commitment to creating a positive and supportive work environment.

The week commenced on Monday with an Employee appreciation breakfast, where staff gathered for a light meal and a message of appreciation from the Chief Executive Officer. Throughout this message, the team’s team members' resilience and professionalism throughout the year were highlighted. Department managers also took the opportunity to recognize employees who consistently demonstrate excellence through the Bank’s First Stars Portal.

Employees were also brought together during themed activities including wearing pink to promote team spirit on Tuesday and red to represent each department on Thursday. Friday’s Employee Appreciation Lunch was used as another opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment of the amazing team. Throughout the week department photos and appreciation tokens were captured and shared. The week’s celebration concluded with a staff social mixer at Stingrays on Saturday, closing out in a relaxed atmosphere for further employee engagement.

Among the week’s activities, Wednesday Wellness served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of prioritizing employee well-being. In collaboration with The Ministry of Health, employees were given access to health screenings and wellness information to encourage healthier lifestyles. It was an important reminder to prioritize particularly in a fast-paced industry where resilience, focus and customer service are vital for their personal and professional lives.

Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Senior Director Country Management Office at CIBC Caribbean Ladesa James-Williams said “This Employee Appreciation week we were very happy to celebrate the real superheroes, our employees, whose dedication, passion and commitment are our greatest superpower”.

Reflecting on the week’s activities, Carolaen Padua Rodriguez Support Officer at CIBC Caribbean said “Employee Appreciation Week is a wonderful reminder that what we do each day is recognized and appreciated. Wednesday Wellness was especially meaningful because it encouraged employees to pause and reflect on our health choices not only for our customers but ourselves.”

Tamyra Missick Corporate Manager at CIBC Caribbean noted that CIBC Caribbean’s ongoing commitment to fostering a work environment where employees feel valued and supported and empowered are top priorities. Missick states that “This time can be especially demanding as we work toward our financial year end goals. Our employees work incredibly hard and it's important that they know their dedication and contributions are seen and valued.
