CIBC to Transition GBP Correspondent Banking Services to Lloyds Bank

CIBC Caribbean has announced that, from September 14, 2026, it will transition its Great Britain Pounds (GBP) clearing services from Barclays Bank Plc to Lloyds Bank Plc for clients in St. Kitts, St. Lucia, and Turks and Caicos Islands.
The change forms part of the bank's ongoing commitment to maintaining efficient, secure, and reliable international payment services for its clients.
Beginning September 14, 2026, all GBP wire payments sent and received on behalf of clients will be processed through Lloyds Bank Plc.
To support a seamless transition, affected clients will receive updated Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) outlining the new payment details required for GBP payments being sent to their accounts The updated instructions will also be available through the bank's corporate website and reflected within its digital banking platforms.

"Our teams are proactively communicating with affected clients to ensure they have the information needed to update their payment arrangements and avoid any disruption to their GBP transactions."
Clients are encouraged to:
Review the updated Standard Settlement Instructions upon receipt.
Update their payment records with the new GBP settlement details.
Share the revised instructions with individuals or organisations that send GBP payments to their accounts.
Ensure all GBP payments sent to their account on or after September 14, 2026, utilise the new Lloyds Bank Plc payment details.
CIBC Caribbean also encourages clients to take advantage of its Online Banking and Mobile App platforms for sending and receiving wire transfers. These digital solutions provide a convenient, secure, and efficient way to manage transactions from virtually anywhere in the world.
