Community Spirit Shines at Let’s Move 5K, 10K, and Marathon Events

Energy, excitement, and unity were in full stride Saturday Morning as participants from across the Turks and Caicos Islands laced up for the annual Let’s Move 5K, 10K, and marathon events.

From seasoned runners to first-time walkers, everyone brought their best to the pavement in a vibrant celebration of health, community, and perseverance.

Minister of Sports Hon. Rachel Taylor, who took part in the event, congratulated the participants and the organisers of the government endorsed programme.

“Congratulations are in order for every participant who crossed the finish line,” she said. “Your dedication and enthusiasm are a true testament to the power of community and the importance of healthy living.”

She declared that beyond personal milestones, events like Let’s Move are vital reminders of how physical fitness can bring people together, foster lasting wellness habits, and help build a stronger, more connected society.

“A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who made the day a success—especially the event partners and the dedicated team at the Sports Commission, led by Director Mr. Jarrett Forbes. Your leadership and support continue to uplift our islands and empower our communities through sport,” Taylor continued.
