DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR HONOURS NOMINATIONS IN THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS

The Governor’s Office is pleased to announce that the deadline for submitting nominations for the 2027 New Year Honours has been extended, with the final deadline now set for Friday 5 December 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
The Honours system offers the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands a meaningful opportunity to highlight individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to life across our Islands. These awards recognise teachers, nurses, cultural leaders, civil servants, volunteers, faith leaders, youth mentors, emergency responders, carers, community organisers and many others whose dedication strengthens our society.
British Honours acknowledge individuals who have shown exceptional service, outstanding achievement or sustained commitment to their community or profession.
This is your chance to ensure that those who consistently go above and beyond are acknowledged on a national and international stage. Anyone can put forward a nomination, and the process is open to all sectors of society.
To nominate someone, simply complete the official nomination form available here: https://www.gov.uk/honours
Completed forms for consideration by the TCI Honours Committee, chaired by Her Excellency the Governor, should be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Friday 5 December using any of the following methods:
• Email: governor@gov.tc
• In person (Grand Turk or Providenciales):
o Deliver a sealed envelope addressed to the “Honours Liaison Officer” at the Governor’s Office, Three Degrees, Old Airport Road, Grand Turk; or
o The Governor’s Office, Raleigh House, Leeward Highway, Providenciales.
• Outer Islands (Middle Caicos, North Caicos, Salt Cay and South Caicos):
o Submit a sealed envelope addressed to the Honours Liaison Officer via your District Commissioner.
