Early Morning Kew Town Shooting Leaves Man Injured


An early morning shooting in the hotbed community of Kew Town has left a male resident nursing gunshot wounds.


To this end, the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTICPF) has launched an investigation into the incident, and are urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid in their inquiries.


The event occurred at approximately 1:42 a.m. today when the Police Control Room received a distress call informing them of the wounded individual. In response, officers, accompanied by an ambulance, promptly rushed to the scene described as being in the vicinity of the Green Bar.


The victim was quickly taken to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for treatment, and at post time, it was not clear as to what his condition was.


In light of this incident and the potential risks it poses to public safety, law enforcement is urging citizens to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. The public is advised to report any relevant information they may have about this shooting or any other illegal activities to the nearest police station.
