The Edward Gartland Youth Centre (also known as the Turks & Caicos Youth Foundation) is proud to announce its 15th anniversary, marking a decade and a half of dedicated service to the youth of our community.

Since November 8, 2008, the center has been a cornerstone of support, education, and mentorship for young individuals, offering a safe and nurturing environment for personal growth and development.

Over the years, the Edward Gartland Youth Centre has become a vital hub for the young people of Providenciales, providing a wide range of programs and resources designed to address their unique needs and aspirations. From educational workshops and after-school tutoring to recreational activities and leadership training, the center has been instrumental in shaping the lives of countless young individuals.

"We are thrilled to celebrate this significant milestone in our journey," said Roxann Wake-Forbes, Executive Director of the Edward Gartland Youth Centre. "For 15 years, our dedicated staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly to provide a space where young people can learn, grow, and thrive. We are immensely grateful to the community for their unwavering support throughout the years".

Terry Drummey, Chairman of the Youth Foundation, expressed, “I am very proud of the work that has been done to help educate the children of TCI. I believe the Director and her staff do an amazing job and I would like to thank all the people and companies that continually donate to the centre in order to keep its doors open”.

Founder and Director, Galmo Williams shared his comments “I am so happy to be a part of the Youth Centre that is providing opportunities for our young people and helping to shape and make Turks and Caicos a better place. I am also thankful to work closely with our Director and our Chairman and thank them for such a great job they have been doing over the last 15 years. I look forward to many more years to come and I would like to invite more corporate citizens to be a part of this great organization”.

To commemorate this special occasion, the Edward Gartland Youth Centre will be hosting a series of events and activities throughout the month of November including a panel discussion, cocktail party for our community partners and alumni and a community outreach homecoming.

The Youth Centre extends an open invitation to the community, encouraging all past and present members, supporters, and partners to join in the festivities. It is an opportunity to come together and celebrate the collective achievements of the past 15 years, while looking ahead to an even brighter future.
