Elderly Man Charged With Armed Robbery

A man two years shy of his 70th birthday has been charged by detectives from the Serious Crime Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force for robbery.


Spencer Missick, a 68-year-old resident whose address the police gave as Nassau, Bahamas, was officially charged with robbery on June 15. The charge is in violation of Section 3 of the Offences Against the Person Ordinance Chapter 3.08.


The charges against Missick are related to an incident that took place on June 7th in the Long Bay district. Further details about the alleged robbery were not disclosed in the initial report.

In an unrelated matter, a 33-year-old Haitian national named Daniel Jean has been charged with illegal entry. The Serious Crime Unit filed the charges against Jean on June 11th. The specific offense is in contravention of Section 34(1) of the Immigration Ordinance Chapter 3.08.


According to the report, Mr. Jean's illegal entry allegedly occurred on May 19th. No additional information regarding the circumstances of his entry into the country was provided.


Both accused individuals are scheduled to appear in court next week, where their respective cases will be addressed. The court proceedings will determine the legal consequences and potential penalties for the charges brought against them.
