The beauty and sophistication of the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort are supported by an impressive force behind the scenes - its engineering and maintenance department - the powerhouse that keeps the resort running and the nation’s technical talent growing.

Responsible for many aspects of the resort’s infrastructure, from HVAC systems and electrical networks, to carpentry, plumbing and auto mechanics - the department ensures that each village, inspired by the architecture of France, Italy, the Caribbean and Key West, operates seamlessly.

“At Beaches, we have a diverse team of technical professionals such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers, each dedicated to keeping the resort functional and efficient,” explained Mario Campbell, director of facilities and engineering. “Their teamwork ensures that guests enjoy their vacation experience.”
More than maintaining world-class facilities, the department is also enhancing local capacity. Through ongoing training, mentorship and partnerships with schools and vocational institutions, Beaches provides young Turks and Caicos Islanders with opportunities to gain science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) based skills and hands-on industry experience.
“Our engineering team represents the future of technical excellence in the Turks and Caicos,” noted Managing Director, James McAnally. “We’re proud to provide employment, training and growth opportunities that strengthen both our resort and the wider community.”

Resort Finish Carpenter, Roosevelt Joseph added, “the hands-on training and guidance from experienced leaders help us grow our skills and careers. Beaches provides the perfect platform for young people to develop and contribute to the STEM industry across the islands.”
Through collaboration with local businesses and continuous professional development, Beaches Turks & Caicos is not only powering its resort; it is energising national growth, creating jobs and nurturing a new generation of skilled professionals dedicated to the sustainability and success of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
