Eight matches were played in the FortisTCI Elite Youth League on Monday, June 14, at the Academy Field in Providenciales.
In the first encounter, the Provo Falcons blanked the Grand Turk Dolphins 4-0. The second game saw another Providenciales team, the Provo Jaguars, shutting out the North Caicos Seals by a 5-0 margin.
Provo Lions played the in the third game of the day, and had the biggest winning margins in the two games they played. They turned back the South Caicos Mariners by an 8-1 margin. They later returned to hammer the Grand Turk Dolphins by an 8-2 margin.
The Provo Eagles were 2-0 winners over the Grand Turk Dynamos. The Eagles later returned to edge the Provo Falcons 3-2. The South Caicos Mariners did not end the day empty-handed, as they outscored the North Caicos Seals 4-2.
The Provo Jaguars chalked up their second win of the day, edging the Grand Turk Dynamos by 3 goals to 2.
Eight matches were also played on Saturday, June 12. In the first encounter, the Provo Lions roared past the Grand Turk Dynamos 5-1, before demolishing the North Caicos Seals 5-0.
The Provo Jaguars had mixed results on the day, beating the Provo Eagles by a goal to nil in their first game, but lost to Provo Falcons 0-1 in the second game. The Falcons were in a no-nonsense mood on the day, decimating the South Caicos Mariners seven goals to nil in their second game.
The North Caicos Seals had mixed results in their two outings, trouncing the Grand Turk Dolphins 4-1 in their first outing but were hammered 1-4 by Grand Turk Dolphins in their second encounter.
The Grand Turk Dynamos did not end the day point-less, as they came to put in a sterling performance against the South Caicos Mariners, which saw them romping home by a 4 – 1 margin. The Provo Eagles wrapped up the day’s proceedings with a 6-2 routing of the Grand Turk Dolphins.
Competition continues this Saturday with the regular six encounters.
