FortisTCI Sold to Vision Ridge Partners; Utility Rebrands as Pelican Energy TCI

FortisTCI has been acquired by Vision Ridge Partners, a global sustainable real-assets investor, and will operate immediately under a new name: Pelican Energy TCI.

President and CEO Ruth Forbes said the ownership change will be seamless for customers. “Your energy services will not be impacted by this transition,” Forbes assured. “Under Vision Ridge’s ownership, Pelican Energy TCI will continue to provide the safe, reliable electricity service you have come to expect.”

Forbes added that the company will work closely with partners across the islands to strengthen the grid. “We’re collaborating with key stakeholders across TCI to maintain and improve our infrastructure as the country’s economic and energy landscape evolves,” she said. “Vision Ridge brings extensive experience in transforming complex energy businesses in different geographies, and together we will continue supporting our customers and the entire TCI community.”

Calling the transaction “a major milestone for our business,” Forbes thanked customers for their trust and support as the company begins its next chapter as Pelican Energy TCI.
