The Ministry of Health and Human Services of the Turks and Caicos Islands is delighted to announce the official launch ceremony of its National Health Sector Strategic Plan 2024-2027.
The event will take place at the Shore Club Beach Resort on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, commencing at 10:00 am. This significant occasion will mark a pivotal moment in the advancement of healthcare services in the TCI.
The National Health Sector Strategic Plan has been meticulously crafted to provide a comprehensive roadmap for the Ministry of Health's goals and objectives, focusing on enhancing healthcare provisions for the population of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Over the next three years, this strategic plan will serve as a guiding framework, shaping the trajectory of the country's health sector.
Strategic plans play a pivotal role in health programming, offering strategic direction for the implementation of focused responses within the health sector. The launch of this strategic plan comes at a crucial juncture, poised to expedite the integration of key program strategies and initiatives within the healthcare delivery system, ultimately leading to positive health outcomes for the populace.
The launch event is anticipated to draw a diverse array of stakeholders from the health sector, civic society organisations, as well as esteemed regional partners including the World Health Organisation/Pan American Health Organisation (WHO/PAHO). Additionally, we are honoured to welcome Anguilla’s Premier and Minister of Health, alongside his Permanent Secretary Health (Ag), to join us in commemorating this historic milestone.
Commenting on the development of the three-year National Health Sector Strategic Plan (2024-2027), the Honourable Minister of Health and Human Services, Shaun D. Malcolm, stated, “We are dedicated to fostering an equitable and resilient world-class health sector system, committed to delivering the highest standards of service to the people of our beloved the Turks and Caicos Islands.”
