Grand Turk Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Activity with a Child

Nineteen-year-old Kervens Cherenfant of Grand Turk has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child.
Cherenfant entered his plea when he appeared before a judge on November 3, 2025, and remains in custody at HM Prison – Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, pending sentencing scheduled for December.
According to police, Cherenfant was formally charged on February 10, 2025, by officers of the Safeguarding and Public Protection Unit (SPPU). The offences occurred between December 2024 and February 2025 and involved a 13-year-old victim.
An investigation was launched after a report was filed on February 6, 2025, which subsequently led to Cherenfant’s arrest.
The SPPU continues to urge members of the public to immediately report any suspicions or allegations of child abuse through the following channels:
