The two-day trials for the 2021 CARIFTA Track and Field Championships to be held in Bermuda in August got underway at the national stadium on Friday 7 May with a flurry of activities. Day 1 activities included shotput, discus, long jump, 200m, 400m and middle distance races. The activities were preceded by the opening ceremony which saw speeches from His Excellency Governor Nigel Dakin, Deputy Premier Hon. E. Jay Saunders, Minister responsible for sports Hon. Rachel Taylor and Director of Sports Jarrett Forbes.
