Ifeanyichukwu Otuonye of the Turks and Caicos Islands advances to the finals of the Long Jump with a leap of 7.65m, which also counts for a season's best by him.
Otuonye is the first and only member of Team TCI to make the final of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games so far.
On the Track, Courtney Missick with a time of 10.87 finished 5th in his 100m heat, while Wilkinson Fenelon, who ran 11.13 finished in 8th position.
Rebecca Bernardin, competing in the 800m heats, finished in 7th place with a time of 2:25.83.
In the pool, Arleigha Hall, who swam in the 50m Backstroke place 8th in her heat. Rohan Shearer, who competed in the 50m Freestyle placed 7th in his heat.
