An illegal vessel originating from Haiti made landfall two miles off South Caicos overnight.
According to the Police Control Room, several persons suspected to be illegal migrants were seen on Long Cay.
Officers of the Marine Branch Unit, along with supporting teams from the Fisheries Department, were dispatched.
A total of 23 undocumented migrants have been apprehended.
The 13 females, nine males and one minor were taken to South Caicos for processing.
The police said investigations are ongoing.
