The year 2025 was one of tremendous growth, competitive success, and community impact for the Salt Rakers Aquatic Club, affirming its role as a leading force in aquatic sport development in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Headlining International Competition
Salt Rakers swimmers took to the international stage again in 2025, proudly representing the Turks and Caicos Islands National Team at a series of prestigious meets. Several athletes competed at the CARIFTA Aquatics Championships, a major Caribbean age-group event that brings together elite swimmers from across the region. Salt Rakers’ presence at CARIFTA demonstrated their dedication to high-performance swim development and international experience.
The club’s athletes also competed at other prominent regional championships — including Goodwill Championships — where swimmers continued to gain invaluable racing exposure against top competitors. Throughout the year, Salt Rakers competitors participated in over a dozen meets, such as the Bahamas National Swim Meet and the SPA Swim Meet in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA, reinforcing their commitment to competitive progression and resilience.

Strong Showing at the Horizon Blue Waves Invitational
One of the standout achievements of the year came at the Horizon Blue Waves Invitational Swim Meet in Nassau, Bahamas. Competing against 11 clubs from across the region, Salt Rakers placed ninth overall with a strong team performance. Many athletes recorded personal best times, with swimmer Isaac Farley securing a bronze medal in the 100m Breaststroke (11–12 age group) — a highlight performance for the club.
Growing Community Engagement
Closer to home, Salt Rakers continued to expand its community footprint with several signature events that brought swimming to all ages and abilities:
Corporate Open Water Swimming Competition: Held in August at Rickie’s Flamingo Café on Grace Bay Beach, this spirited event featured teams from eight local companies and blended friendly rivalry with fitness and fun for participants and spectators alike.
Mini-Triathlon & Fitness Activities: The club’s multi-sport challenge encouraged athletes to embrace cross-training disciplines while reinforcing healthy lifestyle habits for youth and adults.
Summer Camp with Water Polo: Over several weeks in July, children aged 6–17 participated in a dedicated aquatic summer camp that combined swimming, water polo, and open water skills — fostering confidence and water safety from a young age.

Impact and Community Growth
Beyond competition results and events, Salt Rakers continued to build its reputation as a welcoming, supportive, and athlete-centered club. The organization maintained an active presence on social media, strengthening engagement with the local community and the wider Caribbean swimming family.
Looking ahead, Salt Rakers is already preparing for 2026 competitions, including the upcoming Blue Waves Invitational and the club’s own Annual Open Water Swimming Competition in March — events that will continue to elevate swimming and water safety in the Turks and Caicos Islands
