Jamaican Coach David Riley Leads Jumps Workshop for TCI Coaches

Turks and Caicos Islands coaches recently benefited from specialized training in the field events discipline as experienced Jamaican coach David Riley conducted a jumps workshop from Sunday, May 18 to Wednesday, May 20, 2021. The workshop focused on strengthening coaching techniques and enhancing the development of local athletes.

Riley brings a wealth of experience to the programme, serving as President of the Jamaica Track and Field Coaches Association and Technical Director for Jamaica’s Under-20 Athletics programme. His involvement provided local coaches with an opportunity to gain valuable insight from one of the region’s respected athletics professionals.

In addition to his leadership roles, Riley currently coaches Turks and Caicos athletes Markey Zepherin and Roniesha Johnson at Excelsior Community College and Excelsior High School in Kingston, Jamaica. His continued work with TCI athletes highlights the growing relationship between the Turks and Caicos Islands and Jamaica in track and field development.
