As part of the bank’s commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment, Janae Rolle, Private Banker of CIBC Caribbean joined a panel of influential women from across the Turks and Caicos at the 4th Annual Teen Girls Community Awareness Summit, sharing insights and words of encouragement to teenage girls.
The Summit has experienced steady growth as a platform for leadership, personal development and confidence building for teenage girls. Held at the Ritz Carlton Ballroom, Grace Bay, Providenciales, this year’s event was made possible through the support of dedicated partners, including CIBC Caribbean, maintaining itself as a leading sponsor for a fourth year.
Each panelist offered valuable perspectives and expertise from their respective fields. Rolle states “My presentation encouraged young women to recognize their value, embrace their unique identity, and understand that true empowerment begins from within. I emphasized the importance of knowing who you are as an individual, building confidence in your abilities, and remaining true to your values regardless of outside influences.”
Rolle also shared essential financial insights to help the attendees prepare for a successful future. Her advice included the importance of building a consistent saving habit to prepare for future opportunities and unexpected challenges. Investing in skills, education and personal growth to make money work for you. Lastly, make thoughtful financial decisions through spending wisely and responsible money management.
Through her message, Rolle emphasized the importance of putting God first, noting that it leads to wisdom, strength, purpose and direction as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals. Lastly, she highlighted the value in developing an attitude of gratitude, noting that “when we are grateful, we cultivate resilience, humility and a greater sense of purpose.”
