Lua Beach House at South Bank Named a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Awards Winner, Among the Top 10% of Restaurants Worldwide
Lua Beach House, South Bank Resort's signature beachfront destination, has earned a 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award, placing it among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide.
Tripadvisor awards Travelers' Choice status to businesses that earn consistently strong reviews, based on the quality and quantity of diner ratings gathered over a 12-month period. Lua Beach House holds a 4.8 rating on Tripadvisor.
Lua Beach House sits beachfront on the South Bank Lagoon, the iconic ocean-fed resort swimming lagoon situated picturesquely at the heart of the resort property, made for days with nowhere else to be. Your day can start there peacefully with yoga, followed by a wholesome wellness breakfast with a super green smoothie. Lunch could include a whipped feta with Dominican wild honey in the shade of a beach-cabana, a steak sandwich at The Beach Bar, or a signature truffle pizza from the feature pizza oven with sand between your toes. The afternoon belongs to The Lagoon's five acres of calm turquoise water, to swim, paddleboard, or float for as long as you like.
As the sun sets over the water, you cross the boardwalk to The Island Bar for the golden hour paired with The Arc, a signature cocktail of lemongrass tequila with a spicy agave edge. Dinner might be line-caught local grouper or grilled local lobster tail, concluded with a delightful yuzu cheesecake, at a waterside table you are in no hurry to leave.

In February 2026, the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) named Lua Beach House the Turks and Caicos Islands' Restaurant of the Year 2025 at its Star Awards, a distinction earned within the restaurant's first full year of service. Wine Spectator has also recognized Lua Beach House with an Award of Excellence in both 2025 and 2026.
Lua Beach House has been part of the Caribbean Food & Wine Festival since opening in 2024 and has hosted the festival's Veuve Clicquot Brunch since 2025. It also hosted the Jadot Cup Dinner in 2025 and again in 2026.
Being an ideal location for events of different atmospheres and sizes, this summer, Lua Beach House served as a Founding Partner of the 2026 Trevor Ariza Celebrity Impact Weekend, hosting both the Welcome Reception and the Charity Gala Dinner & Auction. The weekend raised $50,000 for the Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission's Athlete Development Fund (ADF).
Lua Beach House is home to the Caribbean Sunset Party, held on The Lagoon Islands. What began as the Italian Sunset Party and the French Riviera Sunset Party has grown into a series that brings residence owners, guests, and Turks and Caicos residents together from sunset into the evening. The next Caribbean Sunset Party takes place on Sunday, September 27.
