A lone strike by ace striker Irener Moline carried Marjorie Basden High School to championship honors over British West Indies Collegiate in the TCI Sports Commission/Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Female High School Football League on Saturday, 21 at the National Stadium.
Moline found the back of the British West Indies Collegiate (BWIC) net in the sixth minute, a goal which proved decisive, even though BWIC pressed for the leveler. Moline, who scored most goals for the season, was awarded the Golden Boot.
However, despite Moline’s dominance in the final, it was the gritty Syniah Forbes who walked away with the Most Valuable Player for that Majorie Basden.
Crystal Baptiste, Captain and goalkeeper of the MBHS team snatched the Golden Glove award for conceding the fewest goals of all the teams in the competition. Alice French, goalkeeper of the British West Indies Collegiate was named the MVP for her team.

Sendia Marcell scored for ALGTHS in the 30th minute, with Faycha Charles leveled the score two minutes later…in the 32nd minute. After regulation time, the game went straight to penalty, which ALGTHS won 2-0.
