The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) has confirmed that Andral Percival, the country’s most wanted fugitive, was killed on Sunday, August 31, 2025, following a shootout with officers in the Miracle Close area of Blue Hills.
Police reports indicate that Percival was cornered in the community during the early afternoon when he opened fire on law enforcers. Officers returned fire, fatally wounding him at the scene.
Percival’s death comes just four days after a dramatic gun battle in the same area on August 27. During that confrontation, Percival escaped, but his accomplice was killed by police.
Authorities had been on high alert after allegations surfaced that Percival threatened the lives of members of the police force, including Commissioner Fitz Bailey. The threats were reportedly made following the police killing of 19-year-old wanted man Jaheim Forbes, who investigators linked to a July 27 mass shooting at a nightclub on Providenciales that left four people dead.
Police say Sunday’s confrontation brings an end to Percival’s violent run, which had placed the nation on edge and intensified security operations across the islands.
