Omars Beat GK Foods by Four Wickets in TCI Cricket League

Omar’s defeated GK Foods in the Turks and Caicos Islands Cricket Association T20 match-up at the Downtown Ball Park on Sunday April 7.

The Omar’s win was spearheaded by Man of the Match Delovaun Hardware.

Taking first knock, GK Foods scored 102 for 9 off 16.9 overs, with Rajakumar Kasi top-scoring with 31 runs which included five 4s before being bowled by Ramauni Chang. He was supported by Ashook Rumar, who punched three 4s for his 20 runs before being bowled also by Ramauni Chang. Indika Peiris, retired hurt on 10.

Hardware, Ian Heath and Ramauni Chang grabbed two wickets apiece, while Dane Richie, Xavier Scott and Robert Johnson took one wicket each.

In reply, Hardware punched six 4s and a 6 for 39 runs before he was caught by Ramaganapathy Duriaikani  off the bowling of Rajakumar Kas. Aside form Hardware, though many of his team pitched in, none reached double figures. Rohan Hines, who scored nine runs was the player closest to a double figure. Omar’s overhauled the target reaching 103 for 6 in 16.4 overs.

Bowling for GK Foods, Sudalaraju Raju was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets for 20 runs. Arihavam Kuthalingam, Ganesan Kuthaligem and Rajakumar Kasi grabbed one wickets each.
