Police Investigates Shooting of Female in Long Bay

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has launched an investigation following a shooting in the Tower Drive area of Long Bay this morning, which left a female hospitalized.

According to reports, at around 7:30 a.m., the Police Control Room received information of gunfire in the Long Bay area of Providenciales. Responding officers, along with Emergency Medical Services personnel, upon reaching Tower Drive, found a 35-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds to her upper body. She was transported for urgent medical care and remains under treatment.

Since the shooting, police have increased both foot and mobile patrols in the area to reassure residents and support the ongoing investigation.
