Police Investigating Early Morning Structure Fire in Blue Hills

Police are investigating a structure fire that occurred during the early hours of Monday morning in the Blue Hills community of Providenciales.

According to the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF), the Command Centre received a report at approximately 3:13 a.m. on March 9th indicating that multiple structures were on fire in the vicinity of Hanco Close, Blue Hills.

Emergency services, including Fire and Rescue, responded promptly to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze.

Authorities confirmed that several individuals have been affected due to the loss of their homes, while two persons sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention.

The Turks and Caicos Islands Red Cross has been engaged to provide humanitarian assistance and is currently conducting assessments to determine the needs of those impacted by the incident.

Police investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
