The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) is reporting that a male prisoner has escaped from the Chalk Sound Police Station early Thursday Morning.
The police neither provided the name of the fugitive nor a photograph of him. It also unclear on what charge, if any, was the escapee was being held at the station.
“A Police Officer was injured during the incident and is receiving medical treatment. A search has commenced for the escaped prisoner,” a news release from the RTCIPF stated.
