National long jumper Ifeanyichukwu Otuonye bows out of the Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Games in El Salvador with a creditable fifth place position.

Otuonye's fifth place jump was at a distance of 7.21m, is shy of his season’s best of 7.25m, jumped in May this year.

The CAC Game is Otuonye’s curtain event, having announced earlier this year that he would pull the stakes on his athletic career. Having represented the Turks and Caicos at a number of international meets, including Commonwealth Games, the athlete said he couldn’t be more proud of his hard work and dedication to representing the Turks and Caicos Islands on a global scale since 2010.
