Quick action by members of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has resulted in an armed robber being apprehended and a firearm seized.
The news time the was was not reported to have been charged and the police did not release his identity.
According to reports, at about 2:01a.m. on Monday, the police control room received a report of a robbery with shots fired on Airport Road, Providenciales. shortly afterwards, the police received information and the description of the culprit.
A team of Officers proceeded to a location nearby where they apprehended one male suspect and recovered a firearm.
The police said no injuries were reported during the robbery, noting also that investigations were ongoing.
