Rock House Resort has made a meaningful contribution to special education in the Turks and Caicos Islands, presenting a cheque for $10,830 to Ashley’s Learning Center (ALC), a private school dedicated to children with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and autism.
The funds were raised during “Beyond Blue: A Brunch for Inclusion”, a special Easter Sunday event hosted by Rock House on April 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The brunch marked ALC’s 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of education, empowerment, and inclusion for children with special needs. Guests enjoyed live performances by the Dubuque Symphony and rallied behind the cause, with every dollar from the event going directly to ALC.
On Tuesday, August 12, Rock House formally presented the donation at its Providenciales property.
Angela Williams, founder and board member of ALC, expressed heartfelt appreciation:
“Rock House has generously supported one of our flagship fundraising initiatives: our annual classical concert. This event inspires, raises awareness, and strengthens both local and international partnerships. As we celebrate 10 years of service, we extend our deepest gratitude to Rock House, their staff and guests, and our local community. Together we’re making a difference.”
Ashley’s Learning Center bills itself as providing tailored educational programs for students with learning challenges, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in a nurturing environment.
For Rock House’s Executive Assistant Manager, Almando Rigby, the cause is deeply personal:
“This cause hits close to home for me. I was more than happy to assist with the handover, knowing that our contribution will directly benefit the incredible students and staff who make such a difference every day.”
General Manager Franck Chantoiseau echoed the sentiment:
“We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to this donation. The support from our guests and community allows Ashley’s Learning Center to continue their amazing work. It proves that together, we can make a lasting impact.”
The donation is part of Rock House’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and community initiatives in the Turks and Caicos Islands, fostering opportunities for inclusion, learning, and growth.
A Grace Bay Resorts property, Rock House prides itself on offering luxury accommodations, dining, and experiences. The resort said it is committed to sustainable tourism and community engagement, supporting initiatives that enhance the lives of local residents.
