The meet, named in honor of veteran Jamaican swim coach Walter Lowi, celebrates his lasting impact on age-group swimming. It encourages athletes to challenge themselves by swimming longer distances and uniquely places swimmers into age groups based on their actual birthdate on the morning of the competition. This often results in athletes competing in new age categories, adding an extra layer of excitement and challenge.

Salt Rakers' Samuel Martin delivered an outstanding performance, earning bronze medals in both the Boys 50m Backstroke and Boys 50m Butterfly events. Teammate Mikayla McDonald also made a strong impression at her very first international meet, capturing a bronze medal in the Girls 50m Freestyle event.

The Salt Rakers Aquatic Club congratulates both Samuel and Mikayla for their achievements and commends them for their hard work and dedication. The club also extends heartfelt thanks to all participating swimmers, encouraging them to continue training hard, improving, and striving for excellence.

Salt Rakers is proud of every swimmer's effort and looks forward to more great performances in the future.
