Salt Rakers Aquatic Club to Host Second Annual Mini-Triathlon

The Salt Rakers Aquatic Club will host its second annual Mini-Triathlon on Saturday, October 31, 2026, beginning at 8 a.m. at The Bight Park in Grace Bay.

The community sporting event will bring together swimmers, cyclists and runners across four age divisions: 9–10, 11–15, 16–18, and 19 and older. Beginners, experienced athletes and relay teams are invited to participate.

Competitors ages 9–10 will complete a 1-kilometre swim, 1-kilometre bicycle ride and 1-kilometre run. Distances increase to 1.5 kilometres in each discipline for athletes ages 11–15, two kilometres for those ages 16–18, and 2.5 kilometres for adults.

Registration options include individual participation, two- and three-person relay teams, and group teams. The listed team entry fee is $100, while the individual registration fee is not specified on the registration form.

Organizers are also encouraging residents to attend and cheer on the competitors as they test their endurance in the three-discipline event.

Participants must submit a completed registration form, payment confirmation, emergency contact and medical information, and a signed liability waiver. A parent or guardian must sign for competitors younger than 18.
