Salt Rakers Open Water Swim Returns to Grace Bay Shores

The Salt Rakers Aquatic Club’s Annual Open Water Swimming Competition returns each March to the world-famous shores of Grace Bay Beach, staged directly in front of Rickie’s Flamingo Café in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.

Now firmly established as a marquee community sporting event, the competition continues to grow in participation and excitement, welcoming swimmers of all ages and ability levels. The 2026 edition will feature race distances of 2.5 kilometres, 1 kilometre, 500 metres and 100 metres, providing opportunities for elite competitors, recreational swimmers, youth athletes and first-time open-water participants alike.

Beyond competition, the event promotes healthy lifestyles, aquatic sports development and ocean safety, while offering a stunning backdrop that highlights the natural beauty of Grace Bay. Families, spectators and visitors are encouraged to come out and cheer on the athletes as the beach comes alive with sport and community spirit.
